Submersible LED light for embedding in boat drain plugs.

LED light manufactured in AISI 316L marine stainless steel housing, with IP68 protection, to be installed submerged in the hull of boats, yachts and pleasure craft. The LED light is installed directly into the existing drainage holes, so there is no need to drill the hull. The connection is easily made by screwing the Ø36mm diameter waterproof housing against the drilled holes.

It has a CREE LED board with 9 chips of 3W, a total of 27W of consumption. The connection is made directly to the circuit of the boat and supports a voltage range of 9 to 32V (the lamp has a built-in driver). This lamp is not valid for 230V installations; in this case it will require an external power supply.

Mounting and installation of the LED underwater drain plug lamp

The LED underwater light for drain plugs requires constant submersion during operation and function. Operation out of water or without external cooling mechanisms may cause malfunction. For mounting, it is sufficient to clean the existing drain plugs on the boat and screw the lamp with the watertight connector on the back. In any case, we recommend that you contact your shipowner for advice and have a professional supervise the work.

Applications of LED recessed lights in drain plugs

The LED lights are intended to be recessed into existing 1/2 inch drain plugs in the hull of the boat. They can also be used in swimming pools, ponds, hot tubs and other water features as long as the light is fully submerged. Remember to watertight the joints in case you drill the hole on purpose for the lamp.
